Definitions:
Assets: any item that is a part of the composition. For instance, pictures, deeds, songs, scanned images, obituaries
Deliverable: Item or information required by a specific date
Composition: The end product, the deliverable of the Memory Book
1. Collect all of the assets that you want in the book. For instance, pictures, newspaper articles, obituaries, bulletins, poems, lyrics to songs etc. The preferred method is to burn all images on a CD or DVD or copy to a flash drive.
2. Place a label with your full name printed on the CD or DVD. You can also place all images on a flash drive.
3. If you have images that need to be scanned please scan them at 600 DPI. We will accept 300 DPI. We will not accept anything less than 300 DPI. This is to ensure that we can deliver the highest quality product to you. Please refer to the user guide (manual) of your scanner to determine how to adjust this setting. Please note that you can scan multiple images at once if you have a recent version of the printer software. Many new printers have a software option that will allow you to separate and crop each image automatically after you scan. This may reduce a great deal of your time.
4. Once you collect all of your images please refer to the image number or file name in the special instructions section if you want specific captions or names listed when the image appears.
5. If any images require restoration there will be an additional service charge based on the amount of time required to make the image usable. We may decide not to use images of very poor quality.
